I just want to wish you a happy diwali. I really enjoy reading your books

Dear Kashmira,
My daughter, Dorothy, brought home BLUE JASMINE from her school library. We finished our last chapter last night. I am from Singapore and am living in eastern Iowa. I was shocked to find out that Seema and her family moved to Iowa City. I could not wade through the pages without shedding tears and identifying with those same feelings when I moved from my "Singlish world" to American world.

I woam a professional visual artist and also as a cultural ambassador for a not-for-profit called World of Difference. I would love to meet you if you are in the Iowa area again.

We are going to the Diwali festival in Fairfield this Saturday on November 8th. Indeed, the fall is beautiful here in the mid-west.

kashmira Sheth

Dear Kemlyn,

I am so glad your daughter Dorothy brought home Blue Jasmine. It is wonderful to hear from readers who can relate to Seema's feelings. You must have faced tremendous challenges when you moved from Singapore to mid-west.
I hope you enjoyed the Diwali celebration in Fairfield. I will probably come to Iowa in spring and will let you know. I hope we can get together. I would like to know more about the work you do at World of Difference.
